This session will provide a greater understanding of the challenges #RealCollege parenting students face and what is at stake for their ability to complete a college credential. You will hear the most recent evidence from The Hope Center's #RealCollege survey on parenting students' basic needs insecurity and hear from parenting students about their experiences. You will learn about the existing barriers in policy that hinder their ability to access basic needs supports and how you can advocate for change, as well as the important role higher education institutions play in supporting parenting students' success and connecting them to a broad set of resources that can improve their credential or degree completion.
